Ry HellerJourneyman Electrician Apprentice
After years of working in the masonry and construction fields, Ry began dreaming of being an integral part of designing and building sustainable communities. In 2005 he moved from a small community in Southern Oregon to Eugene and enrolled in the Energy Management program at Lane Community College. Although unsure of his precise direction, he believed that by furthering his education in the fields of Conservation and Renewable Energy, his path would reveal itself. Three years later he graduated an associate of science degrees in Energy Management and Renewable Energy. While in school he began working with Energy Design and realized he had a passion for working with solar energy. Upon graduating he took on a full time position with Energy Design as a Journeyman Electrician Apprentice and solar electric designer. Ry is also entry level NABCEP certified and is an Oregon Department of Energy tax-credit certified technician. He currently lives in the Eugene area with his wife and son.
